I am a wife, mother, grandmother and dog owner (among other things!) and have lived in Bristol my whole life. I was first introduced to counselling over 20 years ago and, having found it to be a transformative, empowering experience for myself, am passionate about supporting others to navigate and overcome their own challenges.
My core training was with Petruska Clarkson’s Integrative Psychotherapy, with emphasis on the importance of the therapeutic relationship and fostering an environment of safety, empathy and warmth. I have worked within addiction and mental health services for the past six years in a residential setting, and as a counsellor for the last two years before setting up my own private practice.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, adhering to their Ethical Framework and Code of Practice and hold full public and professional indemnity insurance. I am committed to ongoing professional and personal growth and attend regular formal and peer supervision.
